Variances and Waivers
A. Variances.
Departures from the literal zoning requirements specified in SECTION 400: District Regulations and SECTION 600: Exceptions, Modifications, Conditional Uses and Planned Developments of this ordinance may be granted by the Planning Board or Zoning Board of Adjustment, as the case may be, in accordance with the applicable provisions specified in § 702: Powers and Jurisdiction of the Zoning Board of Adjustment and § 705: Powers and Jurisdiction of the Planning Board of this ordinance.

B. Waivers.
The Planning Board or Zoning Board of Adjustment, as the case may be, when acting upon applications for subdivision and/or site plan approval, shall have the power to grant such exceptions from the requirements for such approval specified within SECTION 500: General Provisions and Design Standards and SECTION 800: Development Application Review Procedures of this ordinance, as may be reasonable and within the general purpose and intent of the applicable provisions, if the literal enforcement of one or more of the provisions is impracticable or will exact undue hardship because of peculiar conditions pertaining to the land in question.

C. Pinelands Compliance.
Notwithstanding the aforementioned jurisdictional exceptions, no such exception shall apply to Pinelands application requirements or development standards nor shall it affect the Township's compliance with the Pinelands Comprehensive Management Plan.
